August 1st:

I ate too much. Just having more random fun adventures in Taiwan with Miss Anting. Also I'm learning Mandarin, its really fun! Today I went to Christian Church with Anting, it was really fun. They had an awesome gospel band. I'm not religious, but its really nice to be around a positive collective of individuals. Somehow it feels cathartic to focus all my attention to the things that are troubling me, and thus by identifying them I can let them go.

After Church we ate at a popular dumpling place, it was so TASTY! And the best part: 1 dumpling cost about 3 cents usd! How crazy is that!!?? Its so true that Taiwan has so much cheap and delicious food. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TAIWAN. I will definitely come back here again some day.

July 29th:

After one day of being here I'm starting to think that I found paradise. I am amazed at the wealth of adventures Taiwan has to offer.

Late at night there was an earthquake and I was writing a postcard when it happened. At first I was like, " oh man I think the washing machine must be acting up or something cause the house is shaking a little", but then the shaking became more violent and I realized that it WAS A FUCKING EARTHQUAKE. Oh snap. But its all good, I just kept on writing my postcard. Apparently earthquakes happen about once a month here, no biggie.

July 30th:

Today Anting, her Mother, and I went to a salon and we got scalp massages and then we got our hair styled. I decided to copy Anting and get my bangs cut like hers. After leaving the salon my hair looked so asiantastic. Going along with the theme I decided to buy some black contacts.

Then after that me and Anting went to go watch the 6th Harry Potter movie, it was my second time seeing it, and it was still amazing! When the movie was over Anting took me to her favorite noodle shop and I tried pig heart, it wasn't so bad, actually kinda tasty. Then finally we ended the night at a bar where we met up with Anting's old english teacher.

July 27th:
Today me and Aya went to Shin-Yokohama and met up with our other Berkeley Classmate Sophia. It was so crazy being in Japan with these ladies! We all hung out in Berkeley and I just couldn't believe that we were united all the way on the other side of the world. We went to a local amusement park and rode a crazy-tall ferris wheel. From the top we had a beautiful view of the rainbow bridge and the whole city. Afterwards I ate my first curry-pan (bread filled with japanese curry) and it was DELICIOUS! And we also took Purikura pics.

Shout-out to Mitsuo Yoshizawa who was not there, but rather in America. =P

Conclusion: Life is hella rad.
